⁠RCCG Covenant Chapel Courtenay is a warm, multicultural parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), a global Christian mission present in over 200 nations. As a parish, we are fully aligned with RCCG's global vision of raising disciples, building communities, and spreading the love of Christ. We serve the Comox Valley community, providing spiritual guidance, family support, and programs that strengthen children, youth and adults alike.

Our Calling

Inspired by Isaiah 45:13:

"I have raised him in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: HE SHALL BUILD MY CITY, AND HE SHALL LET GO MY CAPTIVES, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of Hosts.

Covenant Chapel was established to:

Delivering sound biblical teaching sermons
Conducting structured worship services and sacred ceremonies

Why Covenant Chapel?

Covenant Chapel exists to provide stuctured spiritual care, biblical teaching, and practical community support to individuals and families in the Comox Valley. As a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), we are part of a global mission committed to faith, character development, and responsible service.

Our focus is to combine worship, discipleship, pastoral guidance, and community outreach in a way that supports spiritual growth and everyday life. Through teaching, mentoring, family and youth programs, and supervised ministry activities, we help people grow in faith, purpose and personal responsibility.

Governance & Accountability.

Covenant Chapel operates under denominational spiritual and administrative oversight. The functions within established ministry guidelines, leadership, supervision and structured accountability processes.

LEADERSHIP AND MINISTRY OVERSIGHT

The parish is led by Pastor Adeola Aliu, whose duties are as follows:

Preparing and delivering sermons and religious teachings
Conducting worship services and religious ceremonies
Providing pastoral counselling and spiritual guidance
Officiating weddings, baptisms, and other rites
Developing and implementing ministry programs
Supervising church administrative activities
Representating the church in community engagement initiatives
Mentoring and Counselling Memebers

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Covenant Chapel Courtenay is supported by a Board of Trustees that provides governance and stewardship oversight. The board helps ensure:

Responsible administration
Proper use of resources
Program accountability
Ethical leadership standards
Compliance with organizational and community obligations.

The Board works together with the parish leadership to maintain transparency, integrity, and long-term ministry sustainability.
